The cufflinks contain fine details like the maltese cross design on the back of the bezels and the bar design is the maltese cross inverted into a 3-D structural element. Handcrafted in sterling silver, the cufflinks are heirloom quality and can be passed down from generation to generation.
The visible inclusions magnify the stones billowing effect giving them character. The moonstones are set on a thin disk of black onyx to bring out the contrast of the rainbow colors even more. About this Gemstone
Rainbow Moonstone is a variety of transparent labradorite within the feldspar mineral species that possesses sheen in a variety of spectral colors. But its unexpected and constant blue flash is what sets it apart from other gemstones. It is accepted in the trade to call this type of labradorite "rainbow moonstone" even though it is not technically a moonstone.
When light reflects off the stone you can see all the colors of the rainbow. This rainbow iridescence gradually changes in color as the angle of view or the angle of illumination changes.
