I’ve always loved the old-world elegance of mailing letters sealed with melted wax, and I wanted to translate that into a piece of jewelry that felt equally luxurious and meaningful.
I started experimenting in my studio with sealing wax and industrial letter stamps, carefully observing the way the molten wax pooled and captured the stamped impressions. My goal was to mimic that imperfect, organic texture in metal. After much trial and error, I developed a process that retains the tactile beauty of melted wax while transforming it into a lasting, wearable piece of art.
The result is a collection of charms that carry the spirit of vintage letter seals—bold, sculptural, and full of character. Each letter is distinct and slightly irregular, giving the charms a handmade authenticity that sets them apart from mass-produced designs.
The Making of the Initial Letter Charms
Creating these charms was a labor of love. Each one begins as a wax model, stamped and shaped to achieve the perfect balance between old-world inspiration and modern sophistication. These wax prototypes are then cast in sterling silver using the lost-wax method, preserving every detail of the original design.
