Chrysoprase​

This vibrant green oval chrysoprase is a gift to any green lover.  The hue is happy and luminous and sure to make you smile every time you glance at it.  I use chrysoprase in one of Mejia's signature ring designs as a simple ring surrounded by a thin frame of gold.  It would also be lovely as a large vibrant pendant hanging on a chain of tiny pearls or blackened silver chain.

 

Chrysoprase is a type of chalcedony and is famous for its alluring apple to mint green color. It gets its color from traces of nickel silicate impurities. This gemstone was mined in Tanzania.
Chrysoprase is said to aid in problem-solving and finding new approaches and angles.
